What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a completely natural state of mind. In fact, you have

ever driven home and not remembered turning at a certain corner?
Yet, you arrived home safe and sound. This is what it feels like
to be in hypnosis. Hypnosis uses your subconscious mind to make
the changes or to create new ideas that you desire in your life.
You can use hypnosis to bring about health, wholeness, and creativity.
Hypnosis uses your mind's ability to relax and become centered.

Common Myths Regarding Hypnosis
Myth: When a person is hypnotized, they
are unconscious.
Reality: Hypnosis is a level of awareness
that puts you in contact with both the conscious and the subconscious
mind, and you are at no time unconscious. Clients
can hear everything that is said during hypnosis and remember it
afterwards.
Myth: A hypnotist can make you do something you don’t
want to do.
Reality: A hypnotized client is fully capable of refusing
any suggestion even in a deep state of hypnosis, and your subconscious
mind automatically rejects suggestions that conflict with your
personal morals.
Myth: A person in hypnosis will reveal things about themselves
that they would rather keep secret.
Truth: Hypnosis is not a ‘truth serum.’ A hypnotized
person is fully capable of withholding information and lying if they choose. (Of
course you will get better results if you are honest about information
that is relevant to your issue.)
Myth: Strong-minded/highly intelligent
people can not be hypnotized.
Truth: Anyone who wants to be hypnotized can be hypnotized. Since
entering hypnosis is a sort of mental skill, intelligent people are often especially
good at being hypnotized.
